Level One Inspection Services, Inc. has experience in construction observation and quality control testing services on numerous projects throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Registered civil engineers and licensed technicians are available to perform inspection services for all types of projects. These services are provided either by continuous observation or periodic inspections during the construction process according to contract requirements.
- Onsite Special Inspection and Testing
Level One provides onsite special inspection of all structural components including reinforcing steel, concrete, shotcrete, gunite, post-tensioning steel, masonry, structural steel, and spray applied fireproofing. The scope of inspection services typically required is dependant upon contract documents and local enforcement agency requirements.
- Offsite Fabrication Inspection
Level One is equipped to provide all required offsite fabrication inspection services for Client projects, regardless of the fabrication plant’s location or schedule. These fabrication facilities services typically involve precast concrete or structural steel shop inspections. For precast concrete, the field staff verifies that all components utilized meet the requirements of the contract documents from reinforcing steel inspection to concrete placement inspection and formwork conformance.
For structural steel fabrication inspection, Level One verifies and reviews welding procedures and welder’s certifications for conformance with applicable codes. We also provide visual or non-destructive testing of all welding to ensure conformance with the contract documents.
- Full Service Laboratory Services
Level One has access to all of the testing equipment required for soils, base materials, asphalt concrete, Portland cement concrete, masonry, structural steel, welding and fireproofing. Laboratory soils testing services include direct shear, consolidation, laboratory compaction, sand equivalent, sieve analysis, atterberg limits, hydrometer and R-value testing. Testing services can also be performed for concrete, steel, asphalt and masonry. Specific testing that can be performed includes concrete compression, concrete shrinkage, concrete flexural testing, asphalt extraction, asphalt rice, asphalt marshall and masonry prism compression.
All test equipment is checked for adherence to applicable equipment standards using calibration references that are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
